N. Hummel.\r\n  <\/p>\r\n\r\n  <div class=\"quote-box\">\r\n    <h3>\r\n      The first newspaper mention of a Franz Liszt concert anywhere in the world:<br>\r\n      <em>26 November 1820, Bratislava<\/em>, Pressburger Zeitung:\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n\r\n    <blockquote>\r\n      \u201cLast Sunday, the 26th, at noon, the 9-year-old piano virtuoso Liszt had the honour\r\n      of performing before an assembly of the finest local nobility and connoisseurs of music\r\n      in the home of Count Michael Esterh\u00e1zy. For the following six years, they guaranteed him\r\n    an annual scholarship of 600 florins. The principal contributors included Counts Amad\u00e9,\r\n    Szap\u00e1ry, and Michael Esterh\u00e1zy.\r\n  <\/p>\r\n<\/article>\r\n\r\n<article class=\"liszt-block\">\r\n  <h2>Liszt Came to Regard Bratislava<br>as One of His Concert Cities<\/h2>\r\n\r\n  <ul class=\"liszt-list\">\r\n    <li>\r\n      Liszt repeatedly visited Bratislava during his piano touring years\r\n      (giving several public concerts and an unknown number of private performances).\r\n      Throughout his life, he maintained personal and written contact with numerous\r\n      musical, cultural, and other prominent figures from Bratislava.\r\n    <\/li>\r\n\r\n    <li>\r\n      Liszt strongly supported the concerts of Bratislava\u2019s most important musical institution\r\n      of the 19th century, the Church Music Society (Kirchenmusikverein).
